Minutes of the meeting of March 16, 2020
A regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Alexandria Township was held on the 16th day of March, 2020 at the Alexandria Township Conference Room, 324 Broadway.
ROLL CALL: Supervisors present were Joel Dahlheimer, Jeff Oberg, Dennis Butz, Rod Eldevik, and Jerry Wright. Also present were Gregg Raisanen, Clerk and Mona Billmark, Treasurer. As said members formed a quorum and the meeting was called to order by Chairman Eldevik at 6:00 p.m.
Oberg, seconded by Butz, made a motion to adopt the agenda as presented. Motion carried unanimously.
Wright, seconded by Butz, made a motion to approve the minutes of the 3/02/2020 regular board meeting as written. Motion carried unanimously.
Oberg, seconded by Wright, made a motion to authorize payment of claims 20038 – 20055 (claim 20049 voided) for $6,487.05, Net Payroll $642.76, EFTPS $1,295.01, totaling $8,424.82 and a transfer of funds from savings of $7,500.00. Motion carried unanimously.
CITIZEN’S CONCERNS: none
PLANNING AND ZONING: The board reviewed a lot line adjustment involving parcels
03-0164-000, 03-0164-330, 03-0164-340, and a portion of 03-0201-000 that was approved on November 20, 2018 by Zoning Administrator Oleson. Since the lot line adjustment involved Torrens property, the transfer and recording of the property requires a Registered Land Survey. Oberg, seconded by Butz, made a motion to approve the registered land survey for the properties since they meet minimum lot dimensions and building setbacks. Motion carried unanimously.
ENGINEER’S REPORT: None
OLD BUSINESS: None.
NEW BUSINESS: Clerk reported that a request for proposal for summer road maintenance services was advertised twice and one proposal was received from Alden Just Road Maintenance. The submitted proposal included all of the necessary items and most of the costs were $1.00/hr. greater than last year. Oberg, seconded by Dahlheimer, made a motion to contract with Alden Just Road Maintenance for summer road maintenance at the quoted prices. Motion carried unanimously.
Clerk Raisanen reported that the town board can adjust the hours that the polls are open for township elections, the minimum time is three hours, from 5:00-8:00 PM.
The board discussed the status of upcoming meetings due to the coronavirus. Oberg, seconded by Butz, made a motion to authorize supervisors to attend remotely to minimize contact. Motion carried unanimously. Clerk Raisanen will publish a notice on the website.
Being no further business, Dahlheimer, seconded by Butz, made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
