PLANNING AND ZONING: Township attorney Paul Johnson provided updates on the clean up process for Jack’s Family Recycling and Zunker scrap yards. The town board recessed the meeting briefly to meet in consultation with Attorney Johnson.

ENGINEER’S REPORT: Engineer Kuhn provided a list of roads for consideration in determining the 2017 road project: Crestwood Drive, E. Lake Geneva Road (golf course area), Maple Drive and Liberty Road. These roads are close in age as to when they were initially paved and constructed. He prioritized the roads as follows: 1) E. Lake Geneva Road, 2) Maple Drive and 3) Crestwood Drive. The estimates for these three roads were close at $160K, $175K and $192K respectively. He is proposing mill and overlay with patching or just overlay and patching, dependent upon the road. He advised holding off on Liberty Road as the work would be extensive. Engineer Kuhn to consult with the town clerk on possibly combining portions of the roads for bid.

Annual road inspection was set for Saturday, April 8, 2017, 8:30 a.m. commencing from Alden Just’s shop.

OLD BUSINESS: none

NEW BUSINESS: Deputy Clerk Fulghum reported that in response to questions raised at the town’s annual meeting, Clerk Raisanen asked the editor of the Echo Press why no article was published in the newspaper prior to the township elections. He was informed that this was an unintended oversight and apologized on the paper’s behalf.

Vice-chair Dahlheimer reminded the board to add to the “Dates to Remember” the short course scheduled for March 31st.

Being no further business, Eldevik, seconded by Oberg, made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
