NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Alexandria Township Planning Commission will convene on August 24, 2020 at 6:00 PM at the Township Conference Room (located at 324 Broadway, lower level).
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the above public hearing may be held via phone and web conference in addition to, or rather than, at the Township Conference Room. Check the website www.hometownplanning.com for details on registering to attend electronically and/or by phone.

Proposed Amendments to the Alexandria Township Subdivision Ordinance and to the Zoning Ordinance, Section V. Performance Standards (A) Signs, (L)(5) Additional Provisions Within the Shoreland District, and (Y) Renewable Energy. The purpose of the amendments is to ensure greater consistency with past revisions to the Douglas County Zoning Ordinance relating to sign and renewable energy regulations, to adopt regulations that would require increased erosion control requirements for certain land clearing activities in the shoreland district and to correct references to the Douglas County Board in the Subdivision Ordinance where it should refer to the Township Board.
All interested persons are invited to attend these hearings and be heard or send written comments to the Township office at PO Box 445, Alexandria, MN 56308. Copies of each application, the Township’s staff report, maps, drawings and other pertinent information are available at the Township office and are posted on-line approximately one week prior to the meeting date at http://www.hometownplanning.com/alexandria-township.html.
The Alexandria Township Planning Commission will be holding a public meeting to view this and other properties that are on the agenda and to gather information for the public hearing. They will be meeting onsite at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2020.
