Minutes of the meeting of February 18, 2015
A regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Alexandria Township was held on the 18th day of February, 2015 at the Alexandria Township Conference Room, 324 Broadway.
ROLL CALL: Supervisors present were Bryon Alstead, Jul Feuling, Lyle Hammerschmidt, Joel Dahlheimer and Russell Niskanen. Also present was Gregg Raisanen, Clerk. As said members formed a quorum and the meeting was called to order by Chairman Alstead at 6:00 p.m.
Feuling, seconded by Niskanen, made a motion to adopt the agenda with the additions of Land Stewardship Project letter under Old Business. Motion carried unanimously.
Hammerschmidt, seconded by Dahlheimer, made a motion to approve the minutes of the 02/02/2015 regular board meeting as written. Motion carried unanimously.
Dahlheimer, seconded by Hammerschmidt, made a motion to authorize payment of claims 15032 – 15036 in the amount of $5,311.70, EFTPS of $884.58, totaling $6,196.28 and a transfer of funds from savings in the amount of $5,000.00. Motion carried unanimously.
CITIZEN’S CONCERNS: none
PLANNING AND ZONING: None
ENGINEER’S REPORT: Clerk Raisanen reported that the results of the soil borings from Neewana Beach Rd. were received. Based on the findings, it appears that significant improvements may need to be made to the road base prior to paving. The board will wait for Engineer Kuhn’s recommendation prior to making any future decisions regarding the road.
OLD BUSINESS: The board discussed the Stewardship project letter that was previously received by board members. According to MAT, no legislation has been introduced at the legislature; therefore, no action by the board will be taken at the present time.
NEW BUSINESS: None
Being no further business, Feuling, seconded by Dahlheimer, made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 6:20 p.m.
