PLANNING AND ZONING: Barb Thompson, Neewana Beach Road, inquired into buying a 10 ft. strip of property from the township. Her property is adjacent to the newly acquired lot along Neewana Beach Rd. She planted some shrubs and trees along the border and they are on township property. The board was in consensus not to sell any property to her and will not require removal of the trees and shrubs. Supervisor Feuling expressed concern regarding this land because of the adverse possession law.

OLD BUSINESS: Supervisor Niskanen reported that he had met with Gary Thompson, Geneva Golf Course owner, who agreed to place stop signs on the cart paths at the crossing of Neewana Beach Rd. He also inquired about the possibility of placing flashing lights on the golf cart crossing signs. The board agreed to place red warning flags on the sign instead.

NEW BUSINESS: Clerk Raisanen reported that he had not received the resolution from the city in regard to the Geneva Rd. annexation. He will obtain for the first meeting in October since the city council had already approved.

Being no further business, Feuling, seconded by Hammerschmidt, made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 6:18 p.m.

Respectfully submitted….
