Minutes of the meeting of February 19, 2014
A regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Alexandria Township was held on the 19th day of February, 2014 at the Alexandria Township Conference Room, 610 Fillmore Street.
ROLL CALL: Supervisors present were Bryon Alstead, Jul Feuling, Lyle Hammerschmidt, Joel Dahlheimer and Russell Niskanen. Also present were Bonnie Fulghum, Deputy Clerk, and Mona Billmark, Treasurer. As said members formed a quorum and the meeting was called to order by Chairman Alstead at 6:00 p.m.
Feuling, seconded by Dahlheimer, made a motion to adopt the agenda with the addition of the spring short course under New Business. Motion carried unanimously.
Hammerschmidt, seconded by Niskanen, made a motion to approve the minutes of the 02/03/2014 regular board meeting as written. Motion carried. Feuling abstained.
Dahlheimer, seconded by Feuling, made a motion to authorize payment of claims 14037-14042 in the amount of $4,884.54, EFTPS $1,296.52 for a total of $6,181.06. Motion carried unanimously.
CITIZEN’S CONCERNS: none
PLANNING AND ZONING: none
ENGINEER’S REPORT: Discussion on the gravel road treatments was tabled until the next meeting.
OLD BUSINESS: Discussion on the 2015 budget was tabled until the next meeting.
NEW BUSINESS: Deputy Clerk Fulghum reported that the terms of planning commission members Julie Haar and Linda Dokken-McFann expire this year. Commissioner Haar has requested that she not be considered for re-appointment. Fulghum instructed to begin contacting potential candidates and ascertaining their willingness to serve for the next meeting.
Treasurer Billmark explained proper expense reporting with relation to the spring short course.
Being no further business, Feuling, seconded by Hammerschmidt, made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 6:26 p.m.
