Minutes of the meeting of January 6, 2014
A regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Alexandria Township was held on the 6th day of January, 2014 at the Alexandria Township Conference Room, 610 Fillmore Street.
ROLL CALL: Supervisors present were Bryon Alstead, Jul Feuling, Lyle Hammerschmidt, Joel Dahlheimer and Russell Niskanen. Also present were Bonnie Fulghum, Deputy Clerk, and Mona Billmark, Treasurer. As said members formed a quorum and the meeting was called to order by Chairman Alstead at 6:00 p.m.
Niskanen, seconded by Hammerschmidt, made a motion to adopt the agenda as presented. Motion carried unanimously.
Hammerschmidt, seconded by Niskanen, made a motion to approve the minutes of the 12/16/2013 regular board meeting as written. Motion carried unanimously. Consensus to table the 12/16/2013 Board of Adjustment minutes.
Dahlheimer, seconded by Feuling, made a motion to authorize payment of claims 14001 – 14016 in the amount of $53,088.94, net payroll of $2,855.06, totaling $55,944.00 with a transfer of funds from savings in the amount of $54,000.00. Motion carried unanimously.

OLD BUSINESS: none
NEW BUSINESS: Deputy Clerk Fulghum reported that the animal control contract with Alden Just Road Maintenance expires in January 2014. Feuling, seconded by Hammerschmidt, made a motion to extend the animal control contract with Alden Just Road Maintenance for one year at the existing fee rate established in January 2013. Motion carried unanimously.
Deputy Clerk Fulghum provided information regarding Resolution No. 15-01 which would provide support for a comprehensive Omnibus Transportation Bill. Hammerschmidt, seconded by Niskanen, made a motion to table action on the resolution until the next meeting.
The budget committee, consisting of the chair, vice-chair, clerk and treasurer, will meet on Monday, January 27, 2014, 6:00 p.m., at the clerk’s residence to discuss the 2015 budget.
Discussion ensued regarding road maintenance issues and snow removal.
Being no further business, Feuling, seconded by Hammerschmidt, made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 6:23 p.m.
