PLANNING AND ZONING: Clerk Raisanen reported that the office had been contacted by an attorney representing the homeowner of the deck that collapsed on the East Side of Lake Geneva. The firm was requesting a copy of the parcel file on the property. The board was in consensus to have all correspondence be sent by township attorney Johnson.
The board requested, at the next meeting, that Zoning Administrator Oleson provide an explanation of changes to the methods for handling variances.
ENGINEER’S REPORT: Engineer Kuhn reported that Central Specialties has completed most of the work on the paving projects and should be finished this week.
Engineer Kuhn reported that he had a request from the resident on W. Lake Jessie Road where the ditch work was to occur to delay work for a couple of weeks to accommodate a wedding. The board was in consensus to have the work completed next year since there is not enough time to get turf establishment in the remainder of this year after the ditch is cleaned out.
OLD BUSINESS: None
NEW BUSINESS: Clerk Raisanen reported that the township had received notification that the total amount of storm damage in Douglas County was too low to receive any disaster relief from FEMA.
Alstead, seconded by Feuling, made a motion to authorize reimbursement of registration expenses to any board member attending the MN Association of Townships annual conference at Arrowwood Resort. Motion carried unanimously.
Being no further business, Feuling, seconded by Alstead, made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 6:20 p.m.
Respectfully submitted….
