Minutes of the meeting of December 18, 2017
A regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Alexandria Township was held on the 18th day of December, 2017 at the Alexandria Township Conference Room, 324 Broadway.
ROLL CALL: Supervisors present were Jeff Oberg, Joel Dahlheimer, Rod Eldevik, Linda Dokken-McFann and Jerry Wright. Also present were Gregg Raisanen, Clerk, and Mona Billmark, Treasurer. As said members formed a quorum and the meeting was called to order by Chairman Eldevik at 6:00 p.m.
Oberg, seconded by Wright, made a motion to adopt the agenda as presented. Motion carried unanimously.
Wright, seconded by Dokken-McFann, made a motion to approve the minutes of the 12/04/2017 regular board meeting as written. Motion carried unanimously.
Dahlheimer, seconded by Wright, made a motion to authorize payment of claims 17226-17239 in the amount of $93,360.68, net payroll $4,778.61, EFTPS $2,602.93, totaling $100,742.22 and a transfer of funds from savings of $100,000.00. Motion carried unanimously.
CITIZEN’S CONCERNS: none
PLANNING AND ZONING: The board discussed zoning violation letters being sent by the township attorney. Chairman Eldevik reported that they are being sent.
ENGINEER’S REPORT: None
NEW BUSINESS: Clerk Raisanen reported he had received a written proposal from Hometown Planning, LLC for zoning administrative services for 2018. Dahlheimer, seconded by Dokken-McFann, made a motion to contract with Hometown Planning, LLC for zoning administrative services in the amount of $3,960 per month. Motion carried unanimously.
Clerk Raisanen presented a written proposal for engineering services provided by Widseth, Smith, Nolting for 2018. The proposed amount is an approximate 4% increase over 2017. Dahlheimer, seconded by Wright, made a motion to contract with Widseth, Smith, Nolting for engineering services for 2018 per the quoted amount. Motion carried unanimously.
Clerk Raisanen provided a copy of schedule 1, Statement of Receipts, Disbursements, and Balance for the year to date. Total receipts are $870,481.49 and total disbursements were $948,617.96 with a fund balance of $971,718.17. The township will receive additional revenue from the State in the amount of approximately $8,000. Clerk Raisanen will provide a complete summary in the beginning of 2018. The revenue and expenditures were in line with the 2017 budget with the exception of the blacktop fund.
Dahlheimer, seconded by Oberg, made a motion to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 6:40 PM.
