Minutes of the meeting of February 4, 2019
A regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Alexandria Township was held on the 4th day of February, 2019 at the Alexandria Township Conference Room, 324 Broadway.
ROLL CALL: Supervisors present were Joel Dahlheimer, Rod Eldevik and Jerry Wright. Also present were Gregg Raisanen, Clerk, and Mona Billmark, Treasurer. As said members formed a quorum and the meeting was called to order by Chairman Eldevik at 6:00 p.m.
Wright, seconded by Dahlheimer, made a motion to adopt the agenda as presented. Motion carried unanimously.
Wright, seconded by Dahlheimer, made a motion to approve the minutes of the 1/23/2019 regular board meeting as written. Motion carried unanimously.
Dahlheimer, seconded by Wright, made a motion to authorize payment of claims 19021 – 19029 in the amount of $27,600.57, net payroll $4,341.14, totaling $31,941.71 and a transfer of funds from savings of $32,000.00. Motion carried unanimously.
PLANNING AND ZONING: none
ENGINEER’S REPORT: Clerk Raisanen reported that letters had been sent to the landowners on S. Crestwood Drive notifying them that there was not unanimous support for blacktopping their road and, therefore, a petition would be needed to pursue the project.
NEW BUSINESS: Clerk Raisanen reported the town needs to appoint judges for the upcoming township election. His recommendations are Darlene O’Brien, Barb Sather, Paul Stennes and Lavonne Schimmelpfening and to appoint Darlene O”Brien as the head judge. Eldevik, seconded by Wright, made a motion to appoint the recommended individuals as election judges. Motion carried unanimously.
Clerk Raisanen reported that the budget committee had met to plan the 2020 budget. He stated the town had actually underspent their budget last year by approximately $17,000. The 2020 budget is tentatively set for $983,000.
Being no further business, Wright, seconded by Eldevik, made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
Meeting adjourned at 6:23 p.m.
