NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the Alexandria Township Planning Commission has cancelled their meeting for December 26, 2007 and will convene instead on December 17, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. at the Township Conference Room (located at 610 Fillmore Street behind Trumm Drug), to conduct the following public hearings:

Preliminary Plat of Geneva Bluff Estates Second Addition.  Doug and Mary Ellen Thompson, applicants.  Property legal description is as follows:  S/T/R: 22-128-37.  Part of Lot 2, Block One, Geneva Bluff Estates First Addition.

Tabled item:  Amendment to Alexandria Township Comprehensive Plan.

Finalize amendments to the Alexandria Township Comprehensive Plan identifying additional areas appropriate for Commercial/Light Industrial uses. Areas to be discussed are the SW4 of Section 27 and the NW4 of Section 34 along Co Rd 81.

Tabled item:  Rezoning from Urban Residential (UR) to Industrial(I) or      Commercial-Rural (C-R) .  Kathy Hodges, applicant (Jack’s Family       Recycling ) (Arlene Baumann, owner).  Property is located at 3511/3801  Hazel   Hill Road SE.  Legal description: S/T/R 27-128-37 SW4SW4 EX 5.18 AC, AC 34.82  (Parcel No. 03-1887-000)

All interested persons are invited to attend these hearings and be heard or send written comments to the Township office at PO Box 445, Alexandria, MN 56308.  Copies of each application, the Township’s staff report, maps, drawings and other pertinent information are available at the Township office and are posted on-line approximately one week prior to the meeting date at www.communitygrowth.com/alexandria_township.

The Alexandria Township Planning Commission will be holding a public meeting to view this and other properties that are on the agenda and to gather information for the public hearing. They will be meeting at the Township Office at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2007, and then proceeding to the propert(ies).
