Zoning Administrator’s Report – no update

Commissioner Bill Dropik, Jr. joined the meeting.

New Business: Zoning Administrator Oleson provided a demonstration for utilizing online permits to enhance service for our residents and contractors.

Old Business: Oleson stated we receive questions every year concerning the use of pervious pavers in non-shoreland areas. Currently the county allows up to 100% credit via CUP for both shoreland and non-shoreland areas; the township allows no credit for either area. As of 2014, the DNR prohibits the use of pervious pavement exceeding the 25% impervious surface limit in the shoreland district. Consensus to schedule a public hearing for February to consider amending the zoning ordinance to allow pervious pavers in non-shoreland areas.

Adjournment: Being no further business Steinbrecher, seconded by Hacker, made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 6:53 p.m.

Respectfully submitted…
