A regular meeting of the Planning Commission of Alexandria Township was held on the 27th day of June, 2011 at the Alexandria Township Conference Room, 610 Fillmore Street.

Minutes: Hammerschmidt, seconded by Niskanen, made a motion to approve the minutes of the 05/23/2011meeting as written. Motion carried. Commissioner Haar abstained.
Old Business: Zoning Administrator Oleson stated that he had received a call from Mr. Spinner regarding his conditional use permit. Mr. Spinner inquired if his conditional use permit would expire if he doesn’t sell any units within the 18-month timeframe stipulated in the ordinance. Consensus of the commission was to have Mr. Spinner meet with the commission prior to the 18-month timeline expiration and provide documentation of his attempt(s) to sell the units. Examples of documentation could be a list of renters that had been contacted regarding the purchase of a unit; advertising; listing(s) with a realtor, etc.
New Business: The commission viewed the first half of the training video “Rural and Shoreland Subdivisions”. The video encompassed four types of subdivisions; i.e. standard lot/block subdivisions, large lot subdivisions, conservation subdivisions, and farmstead/rural estates.
Zoning Administrator’s Report: none
Adjournment: Being no further business Steidl, seconded by Haar, made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 7:36 p.m.
Respectfully submitted…
