CITIZEN’S CONCERNS: none

PLANNING AND ZONING:   Zoning Administrator Oleson presented photos of Jack’s Family Recycling property and it appears that they are in violation of their conditional use permit. They have not installed the boundary barrier as required and are storing materials in areas not permitted. The board directed Clerk Raisanen to contact Paul Johnson to have him review the case and to determine the next steps.

ENGINEER’S REPORT: none

OLD BUSINESS: none

NEW BUSINESS: Wayne Johnson, Chris Mitchell Accounting, was present and made a recommendation to the board to contract with CarlsonHighland to complete the financial audit since he has retired. Dean Birkeland, representing CarlsonHighland was present and provided the board information regarding their experiences in working with governmental entities. They will provide an engagement letter and cost for their services in the future.

Supervisor Dahlheimer presented an amendment to the joint powers agreement for the flood board. Since the recent annexation, the township will have no property within the region managed by the flood board, so the amended joint powers agreement will remove Alexandria Township as a member. Supervisor Dahlheimer indicated that the members desire to have Alexandria Township to be represented as an ex-official member in the future. Clerk Raisanen will have Attorney Paul Johnson review the draft amendment.

Being no further business, Feuling, seconded by Dahlheimer, made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 6:35 p.m.

Respectfully submitted….
