NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the Alexandria Township Planning Commission will convene on July 28, 2025, at 5:00 PM at the Township Conference Room (located at 324 Broadway, lower level) to conduct the following public hearings:
Interim Use Request to allow a leaf and grass clipping compost site in the Commercial-Urban (C-U) zoning district. Property is located at 4605 Co Rd 82 SE, Section 22, Township 128, Range 37, N2NE4 LYING S’LY OF BURLINGTON NORTHERN ABANDONED RR EX: RD, 3.62 AC ‘MOVOLDS 1ST ADDN’, 1.68 AC, E 10.67 AC & .74 AC (PARCEL 227A MDOT R/W HWY 27) 47.05, Parcel No. 03-1757-000.
Consideration of amendments to the Alexandria Township Zoning Ordinance
related to the regulation of cannabis businesses including their location,
operation and permitting procedures for zoning purposes. Sections of the
Zoning Ordinance to be amended include III (Zoning District Regulations),
V (Performance Standards), Section VI (Administration) and Section VII
(Definitions). Applicant: Alexandria Township.
All interested persons are invited to attend these hearings and be heard or send written comments to the Township office at PO Box 445, Alexandria, MN 56308. Copies of each application, the Township’s staff report, maps, drawings and other pertinent information are available at the Township office and are posted on-line approximately one week prior to the meeting date at http://www.hometownplanning.com/alexandria-township.html.
The Alexandria Township Planning Commission will be holding a public meeting to view this and other properties that are on the agenda and to gather information for the public hearing. They will be meeting onsite at 4605 Co Rd 82 SE at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
