NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the Alexandria Township Planning Commission will convene on September 28, 2026, at 5:00 PM at The Hub on Broadway Conference Room (located at 203 Broadway) to conduct the following public hearings:

Conditional Use request to allow in the Residential Shoreland district the moving of 14 yards of dirt in a steep slope to prepare a grass pathway to the lakeshore (anything over ten cubic yards of earth requires a CUP). Property is located at 3997 Queens Road SE. Owner: Ethan Deakins. Parcel No. 03-1884-127.

Interim Use Request for the continued operation of an existing cabinet shop business in the Urban Residential district.  Owners: Jeremy and Bethany Olson.  Property is located at 3430 Hazel Hill Road SE. Parcel No. 03-2178-700.

All interested persons are invited to attend these hearings and be heard or send written comments to the Township office at PO Box 445, Alexandria, MN 56308.  Copies of each application, the Township’s staff report, maps, drawings and other pertinent information are available at the Township office and are posted on-line approximately one week prior to the meeting date at http://www.hometownplanning.com/alexandria-township.html.

The Alexandria Township Planning Commission will be holding a public meeting to view this and other properties that are on the agenda and to gather information for the public hearing. They will be meeting on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at the following times and locations:
