Minutes of the meeting of December 16, 2019
A regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Alexandria Township was held on the 16th day of December, 2019 at the Alexandria Township Conference Room, 324 Broadway.
ROLL CALL: Supervisors present were Joel Dahlheimer, Jeff Oberg, Rod Eldevik, Dennis Butz and Jerry Wright. Also present was Gregg Raisanen, Clerk. As said members formed a quorum and the meeting was called to order by Chairman Eldevik at 6:00 p.m.
Oberg, seconded by Butz, made a motion to adopt the agenda as presented. Motion carried unanimously.
Dahlheimer, seconded by Oberg, made a motion to approve the minutes of the 12/02/2019 regular board meeting as written. Motion carried unanimously.
Dahlheimer, seconded by Butz, made a motion to authorize payment of claims 19220 – 19234 for $95,115.68, net payroll $2,899.35, EFTPS $2,701.52 totaling $100,716.55 and a transfer of funds from savings of $98,000.00. Motion carried unanimously.

PLANNING AND ZONING: None
OLD BUSINESS: The board discussed the Dropik agreement sent by Attorney Johnson with the conditions and timelines outlined at the last meeting. Mr. Dropik has until December 20, 2019, to sign and agree with the stipulations.
The board discussed the placement of steel posts in the road right-of-way which may impede snow removal. If the need arises to wing back snow, the road maintenance contractor will push them down.
NEW BUSINESS: The board discussed swimming lifeguards at LeHommeDieu Beach. Douglas County Public Works will not be providing lifeguards at county beaches. Clerk Raisanen reported that he had met with City Administrator Marty Shultz, who indicated that the city is contacting the YMCA to determine if they had any interest in providing these services.
Clerk Raisanen presented a statement of receipts, disbursements, and balance for the year to date. As a result of paying for the S. Crestwood Drive blacktop project, the blacktop fund was negative and he recommended a transfer of funds from the road and bridge fund, which has a fund balance of $263,608.73. Oberg, seconded by Dahlheimer, made a motion to transfer $50,000 from the road and bridge fund to the blacktop fund. Motion carried unanimously.
Clerk Raisanen reported that only one supervisor was certified to serve on the board of appeals and equalization. Additional supervisors will take the online training.
Being no further business, Wright, seconded by Oberg, made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
Meeting adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
