Board of Supervisors' December 29, 2025 special meeting minutes

Alexandria Township

Alexandria, Minnesota 56308

Minutes of the special meeting of December 29, 2025

A special meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Alexandria Township was held on the 29th day of December, 2025 at the Alexandria Township Conference Room, 324 Broadway and via teleconference.

ROLL CALL: Supervisors present were Rod Eldevik, Dennis Butz, Joel Dahlheimer and Jerry Wright.  Also present were Mark Meuwissen, Clerk, and Bryon Alstead, Treasurer.  As said members formed a quorum, the meeting was called to order by Chairman Eldevik at 6:00 p.m.

Butz, seconded by Wright, made a motion to adopt the agenda.  Motion carried unanimously.

Dahlheimer, seconded by Butz, made a motion to authorize payment of claims 25243-25246 in the amount of $1,035.22, net payroll $13572.99, EFTOS $5,190.19 totaling 19,798.40 and a transfer of funds from savings of $20,000.  Clerk Meuwissen asked if the EFTPS was for one month of payroll taxes or two.  Treasurer Alstead clarified it was for two months.  Motion carried unanimously.

New Business: Clerk Meuwissen presented preliminary fund balances and suggested the Board consider moving funds from the General Fund to the Blacktop and ALASD funds.  Meuwissen noted the Board had aggressively pursued road projects to take advantage of lower costs and had subsidized a sewer expansion project to promote economic growth.  As a result of these decisions, the Township spent more than the collected revenues from these two funds.  Eldevik, seconded by Dahlheimer, made a motion to move $158,000 from the General Fund to the Blacktop Fund and to move $105,000 from the General Fund into the A.L.A.S.D Fund. Motion carried unanimously.

Being no further business, Chairman Eldevik adjourned the meeting. Meeting adjourned at                    6:32 p.m.

Respectfully submitted….
